Charities

We offer advice and guidance on the formation of charities - whether it is better to form a charity governed by a trust deed, or a company limited by guarantee. Having agreed the fundamentals, we will assist in the drafting of the appropriate documentation, and in the registration with the Charities Commission as a registered charity. Yes, there are tax benefits for a registered charity, but there are requirements which it must observe.

We can also assist and advise with day-to-day support to charities, and in particular, advising charity trustees in their personal roles and responsibilities, and in regard to their duties and powers.

We act for a number of charities which lease, buy and sell property, and raise loans and borrow funds, with and without security.
